Our veterans have sacrificed so much for our country, and we must ensure they receive the mental health support they deserve. Many who have served face PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and it's critical that they know help is available.

If you or a veteran you know is struggling, here are some local resources available in the Coastal Bend region:

Corpus Christi VA Outpatient Clinic: Offers mental health services, PTSD treatment, and crisis support for veterans: www.va.gov/corpus-christi-va-clinic/

Coastal Bend Center for Independent Living (CBCIL): Provides peer support, counseling, and veteran-specific services to help with transition and well-being: cbcil.org/

Texas Veterans Network: Connects veterans with mental health professionals, job resources, and housing assistance: texvet.org/

If you're a veteran in crisis, you are not alone. You can call the Veterans Crisis Line at 988, then press 1 for immediate support.
