The positive effects of HB 8, which was passed in the last session, can already be seen in our local colleges. Del Mar College in Corpus Christi has received an additional $1 million to spend on academic programs. The funding model prioritizes results and ensures that colleges are preparing their students to join the new and dynamic Texas workforce. This is a great victory for the Coastal Bend!

Really? Perhaps the college can explain why they chose to scuttle the entire auto body program after its professor who resigned went out of his way to find them a more viable replacement, and screwed over a dozen students in the pipeline from completing their degrees/certifications.
